What’s the best way to begin to take back your body?
It all starts with what you’re putting in.
The food that you eat.
But it’s so easy to say “You should eat healthier”.

Nothing in a Box, Nothing in a Bag
This one is huge.
When you eliminate overly processed foods from your diet, you are making huge strides toward taking back your body.
Notice I didn’t say cut down.
I’m trying to help you make a big change right now.
I said: eliminate.
What does that look like?
- No crackers
- No chips
- No box meals
- No bread that you make your sandwich with
It doesn’t matter whether it’s in a green box or red box or whatever color it is – eliminate it.
Is there an exception to that?
Yes indeed – there is an exception.
Single ingredient items.
Bagged apples. Bagged broccoli. Bagged carrots.
In other words – lean meats, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Wholesome, minimally processed foods.
This is about simple cooking and simple eating. Sometimes it’s more convenient to purchase items that have already been washed and trimmed rather than doing it yourself.
What’s the big deal?
By now, you’ve probably heard about insulin and weight gain.
Everybody seems to be talking about it.
Some people call insulin “the fat storage hormone”.
Our goal is to control insulin levels. When insulin levels rise, fat and carbohydrates will go into your cells, especially your fat cells.
When we look at it, most of the stuff in a box or in a bag is high in carbohydrates and low in nutrients. Large amounts of carbohydrates spike insulin levels.
When we get a really big insulin spike, we get a lot of carbs, fat, and calories that just get driven into our fat cells. But you don’t really get a whole lot of nutrition outside of that.
So we’re looking to control insulin levels and really just eat more nutritious food.
I think most people would agree – do you think that bag of Wheat Thins is as nutritious as a bag of broccoli?

Step 2: Go to the grocery store and replace those foods with lean meat, fruits, and vegetables.
