Are You Drinking Enough Water?

All of the major systems in your body depend on water. Water helps to regulate body temperature, lubricate joints and tissues, and carry nutrients and oxygen to cells,

Adequate fluid intake is super important to your gym performance.

So how much water should you drink? Shoot for one-half your body weight in ounces per day, plus 8-10 ounces for every half-hour of activity. So if you weigh 180 lbs you should be drinking 90 ounces per day + 16-20 ounces for every hour you work out (106 to 110 ounces).

This clip from Crossfit Endurance’s Max Wunderle talks about importance of drinking water and states that “1% state of dehydration, 10-12% miss in performance.”

I remember the first time I ‘had an accident’ as a big boy.

It was during one of my mom’s aerobics classes and I was 5.

She taught at the local Y and I would hang out on the sidelines for the duration of the class.

One day I really had to go.  I mean really, really bad.  But the class was an hour and a half.
